My name is Sully H, and I'm a handsome 7-8 month old Border Collie mix with a touch of husky! Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster for me recently, as I've returned to the rescue, but I'm a resilient pup looking for my forever family. I was born in a noisy shelter but had a brief stint in a loving home before coming to Wisconsin. I previously lived with young children and adored them, but unfortunately, my previous mom got sick, and the household became quite hectic with lots of new people coming and going. This made me a bit nervous, and I'd bark to create my own space, which, admittedly, worked!
Ideal Home
I'm seeking a patient and understanding family who can provide me with quiet time and continue my cherished daycare routine. A home with other confident dogs would be wonderful for me to learn and grow alongside. Dog-savvy children would also be a great addition to my life. I need a family who understands I might be a little shy with strangers at first and is committed to helping me work through my "stranger danger." I'm already house-trained and consider my kennel my safe haven. While I might not warm up instantly, with consistent love and patience, I'm eager to show you my very best self!
Ongoing Health
I am up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, generally dewormed, and have tested negative for heartworm. I have also received a certified veterinary inspection.
Training & Support
I'm a smart boy who knows to do my business outside and that my kennel is my safe space. I do need some help with stranger danger, but I'm confident that with patience and consistency, I'll overcome it.
