Kate

Kate is a gentle, friendly, and loving 5-year-old, 100lb lady who is ready for a fresh start. She recently lost her beloved owner and spent some time alone before coming into rescue. Despite her circumstances, Kate remains incredibly sweet, people-oriented, and grateful for any attention, especially if you have hot dogs! She is fully housebroken, welcoming to guests, and gets along wonderfully with other animals. Kate previously lived with a cat and currently thrives in her foster home with multiple dogs and cats. She plays respectfully with dogs and shows no interest in chasing cats.

Ideal Home

Kate would do best in a home with children 16 and older due to her size. She would also love a fenced-in yard.

Ongoing Health

Kate is currently a bit overweight and will need a family committed to daily walks, a healthy diet, and gradual conditioning to help her slim down.

Training & Support

Kate is not crate trained and is comfortable being left out in the home, often using the couch as her safe space. She has mild separation anxiety and is currently learning to walk on a leash. She rides well in the car.
