Marlena is a spayed female dog, approximately 3 years old and weighing around 50lbs. She’s a bundle of energetic joy with a personality as soft as her velvety black fur, which feels remarkably like a rabbit's. Marlena is also incredibly affectionate and loves to be a lap dog, always eager to cuddle with her favorite person. She reliably comes when called and has a super cute, unique smile due to a slight misalignment of her jaw, a trait we find utterly adorable and it doesn’t cause any health issues. She's been waiting for her forever family for several years and deserves a loving home outside of a kennel.
Ideal Home
Marlena would thrive in a home where her playful energy is welcomed. While she's generally dog-friendly, she may not get along with all dogs due to her high energy levels and enthusiastic greetings. She has a high prey drive and is not suitable for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Marlena is healthy and requires no special medical care. Her jaw misalignment is a cosmetic feature that doesn't affect her health. She is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and on Simparica Trio for heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. She will receive a vet exam, a negative fecal test, and a health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Marlena is responsive to her name and comes when called. Further guidance may be needed for her interactions with other dogs to ensure positive experiences for everyone.

Transporation
Marlena is located with our rescue group and can be transported to many New England cities. We can help you determine the transport stop nearest to you. The adoption fee of $300 includes transport.
