About Shiloh

Shiloh is a sweet 3-year-old Beagle Mix, weighing about 25lbs. She's a sensitive and special girl who has made incredible progress in her foster home. Shiloh was initially very timid, hiding for weeks, but with time and treats, she's learned to trust new people and enjoy playing in the yard with her foster siblings. She thrives on comfort, offering a soothing presence when her humans are feeling anxious, and can be incredibly goofy and full of life once she's comfortable. She also enjoys cuddles and will let out a most satisfying sigh when she's found her perfect cozy spot.

Ideal Home

Shiloh needs a home in the suburbs or the country, as she is terrified of city life and experiences significant anxiety on walks there. She is scared of children's voices, so a quiet home without young children would be best, though she does well with older kids. Shiloh can be reactive towards new dogs and needs a slow introduction to any resident pets. A calm, confident dog would be a great companion for her. She is not a match for a home with cats or small animals as she is prone to chasing them.

Ongoing Health

Shiloh is healthy and up to date on all her vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies). She has been spayed and microchipped, and was treated with dewormer upon intake.

Training & Support

While Shiloh is potty trained and past the mouthing stage, she still has some deeply rooted sensitivities. She can be a "wallflower" with new people, taking a while to warm up. Walks can be challenging due to her heightened sound and sight sensitivities, which can cause her to react to critters or noises. She needs consistent, slow introductions to new dogs and people, and a patient owner who can help her navigate these challenges. She is adjusting well to being left alone, usually settling quickly after a few minutes of crying. She is also getting the hang of leash manners and responds to corrections.
