Penny Sue is a beautiful Miniature Poodle who is discovering just how wonderful life can be now that her breeding days are behind her. While she is extremely timid when meeting new people, every day brings another little victory as she learns that humans can be kind, loving, and trustworthy. Once Penny feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She happily accepts pets, enjoys being held, gives the sweetest little kisses, and has even started seeking out affection on her own. Watching her confidence grow is incredibly rewarding! Penny absolutely loves other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in her forever home. She has recently begun initiating play with her foster siblings, showing off her adorable, goofy, submissive play style that is guaranteed to make you smile. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is indifferent to cats. This curious, happy-go-lucky little girl is crate trained and does well with potty training as long as she stays on a consistent schedule. Like many breeder-release dogs, she is still learning about the world and will need a patient family willing to let her continue blossoming at her own pace.
Ideal Home
Penny must have another friendly, well-adjusted dog in the home to help show her the ropes and teach her that people are safe. She will also require a securely fenced yard attached to the home, as leash walking and the outside world can still feel overwhelming for her.
Ongoing Health
Penny has been spayed and had her teeth cleaned. She is up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative and microchipped.
