Ritchey Roo, also known as Richard, is an estimated 5-6 year old, 90 lb bundle of joy! He's a unique character who can switch from being a relaxed couch potato to an exuberantly energetic pup in an instant. Ritchey is all about his humans and loves to lounge around, enjoying affection and your company. He's house-trained, okay being left alone, and would ideally love a home with a fenced yard. While he can be quiet, he's also known to "speak" with humorous vocalizations when he has something to say. Ritchey enjoys car rides and walks, but be aware he can be a strong puller and will require leash training. He's not particularly interested in toys or fetch, preferring to simply be by your side or enjoy the comfort of his home. He has a history of being underweight, and while he's gained well, he could benefit from a diet and increased activity. Ritchey also learned the command "OVER" to create some personal space in bed, showing his ability to learn and adapt. He's well-traveled, having spent time in foster care and boarding facilities, where he's been easy to care for and good company.
Ideal Home
A home where he can be the only spoiled pup. He is not into other dogs and would do best as the sole canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Ritchey came to us underweight and has gained well, but could benefit from a diet and/or increased physical activity.
Training & Support
Ritchey can be a strong puller on the leash and will require leash training. He can also be boisterous and jumpy when excited, especially around food or when a leash is involved. He has learned the command "OVER" to create space in the bed.
