Hi, I’m Sarah — a 4-year-old Yorkie/Mini Schnauzer mix weighing about 9 pounds, and I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. I’m a quiet little girl with a very sweet heart, but I’ll admit… the world can feel a little scary to me sometimes. When I first arrived, I was terrified. I would hide away and didn’t really want anyone near me because I wasn’t sure if people could be trusted. But little by little, I’ve started realizing that kind hands, soft voices, and gentle cuddles are actually really nice. Now I slowly creep over to my people, and once they pick me up and love on me, I melt into them like I’m finally understanding what being safe is supposed to feel like. Even though I’m shy at first, I’m incredibly loving once I feel comfortable. I do amazing with other dogs, have been wonderful with all of the kennel staff, and I’ve also done great around an 8-year-old child. I’m not loud or demanding — I’m just a soft, gentle soul hoping someone will give me the patience and love I deserve.

I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventatives.

Training & Support

I’m shy at first but very loving once I feel comfortable. I’ve done great around an 8-year-old child and other dogs. I have not been cat tested, but that can be done upon request.
