Meet Bear!
One look into those soulful eyes and you'll understand why everyone falls for Bear. This stunning 2-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighs 71 pounds and is as handsome as they come—but beneath that rugged good looks is a sweet, affectionate boy who just wants to be by your side. Bear is an easygoing companion who loves spending time with his people. Whether you're heading out for a long walk or relaxing at home, he's happiest when he's with you. He's wonderful on leash, enjoys getting out and exploring, sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, and is 99% potty trained. When the adventure is over, Bear is always ready to cash in on belly rubs and soak up all the love you have to give. He's eager to please, incredibly loyal, and has the kind of presence that turns heads wherever he goes. We also got Bear's DNA test! 62% Great Pyrenees, 17% Miniature American Shepherd, 5% American Staffordshire Terrier, 5% Labrador Retriever, 3% Australian Shepherd, 2% Border Collie, 2% American Pitbull Terrier, 1% Rottweiler, 1% English Springer Spaniel, 1% Chihuahua, 1% Akbash Dog.
Ideal Home
Bear would likely thrive as the only dog in the home. He has shown some resource guarding around an intact male dog, so a home where he can have his people all to himself would set him up for success. Like many Great Pyrenees, Bear has a bit of a wandering spirit and can be an escape artist if left unattended outdoors. Because of this, he'll need a secure, tall fence and should always be supervised outside or kept on leash.
