Darcy is a sweet 10-year-old female miniature smooth-haired dachshund looking for a quiet retirement home. She weighs under 10 pounds and is housebroken, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Darcy gets along well with other dogs, both small and large, and currently shares her home with another miniature dachshund and a pitbull mix. She has lived with children in the past, but would be happiest in a calmer environment with older children, teenagers, or adults only. Darcy's eyesight is diminishing with age, and due to her vision impairment, she can be startled when she eats and may snap if disturbed. She needs a family that understands the needs of senior dogs and can provide her with the peaceful surroundings she deserves. Her current family loves her dearly and wants her to have the best next chapter, which they believe will be in a home without a busy toddler.
