Hula Hoop

Meet Hula Hoop! This sweet girl came to us from a hoarding situation where she was neglected and, as a result, quite overweight. We’re happy to report that after a dedicated weight loss journey, she’s now a healthy 12.8 lbs and no longer resembles her namesake! Her bloodwork is perfect, and we estimate she's a Miniature Pinscher mix around 9 years old. Hula is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and completely potty trained. She's patiently waiting for her forever family and a new name to go with her fresh start.

Ideal Home

Hula is looking for an adopter who understands she can be a little slow to warm up. Once she trusts you, she's incredibly affectionate and will show her joy with full-body wags and smiles. She seems to prefer the company of female humans. Due to old injuries to her forearms and wrists, she should not be expected to go on long walks and would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard. She gets along well with other dogs but would prefer to be the only feline in the household.

Ongoing Health

Hula Hoop is in excellent health following her weight loss. All her veterinary needs have been met, including being spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Hula is already potty trained and ready for her new life. Her adopter should be patient as she builds trust and understand her limitations regarding strenuous exercise due to past injuries.
