Channel is an 8-month-old Caramelo Dog who weighs 43.6 lbs and is searching for her loving forever home. Channel's journey began in difficult circumstances, born on a property where corrosive cleaning products were manufactured. While the security guards tried their best to care for her and her littermates, tragedy struck when they fell into an oil pit. Channel was the sole survivor and was rescued on January 4th, 2026. Since then, she's been given the chance to heal, grow, and learn what love truly feels like. Channel is a playful and affectionate girl who adores attention and gentle pets. She gets along well with cats, dogs, men, and women. Initially, she can be a bit cautious and protective around new people, but her loving personality quickly shines through once she feels safe. Channel can also get a little nervous when left alone, so she would do best with a family that can offer patience, reassurance, and companionship as she builds her confidence. After surviving such a difficult beginning, Channel deserves a family that will provide her with the safety, stability, and unconditional love she has always deserved.
Ideal Home
Channel would thrive in a home with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. A fenced backyard is a must. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, who understands the needs of rescued animals and is willing to provide protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a commitment to hiring a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach her full potential. A high tolerance for and patience with rescued puppies is essential.
Ongoing Health
Channel has received a comprehensive health protocol including being spayed, vaccinated for DHPPI and rabies, treated for Bordetella, dewormed, and microchipped. She has also tested negative for 4DX and heartworm, and is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra. She comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Channel is not house-trained and requires a family that understands the challenges and rewards of training a rescued dog. She can feel nervous when left alone and will need patience and reassurance as she builds confidence.
