Georgia

Georgia is a friendly, happy, playful, and incredibly sweet 13-month-old dog, weighing approximately 75-80 pounds. She LOVES people and truly enjoys meeting other dogs. Georgia is very expressive, using her voice, soulful eyes, and wiggly body language to communicate exactly how she feels and what she wants. She enjoys walks, belly rubs, cuddles, and spending time with her people. Georgia is house-trained and crate-trained, and she understands several basic commands including sit, stay, shake a paw, and wait. She is eager to learn and responds very well to positive reinforcement. Georgia is still practicing impulse control and calm greetings, but with consistency and guidance, she continues to make positive progress.

Ideal Home

Georgia would thrive in a home that keeps her mentally engaged and provides regular exercise suited to her needs. She is great with other dogs and would do best with older children due to her excitable nature. Her new family should be prepared to provide appropriate chew toys and guidance as she continues to develop good habits. She has not met any cats yet.

Ongoing Health

Georgia has bilateral elbow dysplasia. The vets have advised that this condition does not require surgery at this time. She may be given Metacam and Galliprant as required. Due to her leg condition, shorter, repeated walks are recommended instead of long walks.

Training & Support

Georgia is still practicing impulse control and calm greetings. Consistency and guidance will be key to her continued progress. She is an enthusiastic eater and benefits from a snuffle mat or slow feeder. She also benefits from mental stimulation through games, enrichment activities, and training.
