Joey

Joey is a sweet, 4.5-year-old Pitbull cross who's had a challenging start in life. Despite a physical injury that left one leg shorter than the others and a period of abandonment, Joey is a resilient boy who is learning to trust and enjoy life. He has made incredible progress in a low-stress rehabilitation setting over the past two months, where he's been encouraged to make good choices when feeling scared. Joey loves his walks and playtime, and he's ready for a home where he can continue his journey of healing and confidence-building.

Ideal Home

Joey would thrive in a calm, non-stressful environment, such as an acreage, farm, or quiet urban home. He needs a home without other pets or children.

Ongoing Health

Joey has a physical injury that resulted in one of his legs being shorter than the others.

Training & Support

Joey is a fearful dog who is still learning to navigate new experiences and people. He benefits from consistent, force-free training and requires a home that can continue the work he's been doing. He has been learning to relax and make good decisions when scared.
