Otis is a sensitive soul who feels like a karmic gift for all the goodness you have given. He is a heart-to-heart dog, intuitive and caring in a way that is truly special. Watching him, you'll notice his perfect underbite and the even sweeter heart behind it. He's estimated to be around 3 years old and weighs 57 lbs. While his exact breed mix is a guess, we suspect some pittie/staffie goodness. Otis is gorgeous, wonderfully mannered indoors, and happiest with a quiet, steady life. He approaches new situations with intentional caution, but once he feels safe, his true gentle, loyal, and soft-hearted nature shines through. He bonds deeply with his people, but it's a slow burn; he needs patience and relationship-building to open up.
Ideal Home
Otis would thrive in a home that appreciates sensitive dogs, one that doesn't expect instant confidence or a go-everywhere lifestyle. He prefers calmer environments and predictable routines and is not a dog for hosting large gatherings.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned in the description.
Training & Support
Otis is house-trained, crate-trained, and has lovely leash manners, preferring peaceful strolls. He can become overwhelmed or shut down if approached too quickly, communicating discomfort by seeking space. He is not confrontational and remains gentle even when stressed. He is more aloof than social with other dogs, preferring calm, confident female dogs. He has shown himself to be submissive and gentle in interactions and does not create conflict around food or toys. He was gentle, calm, and quietly curious when meeting the resident cat and could live peacefully with calm or dog-savvy cats.
