Meet Delta Dawn!
Delta Dawn is a 40lb Cattle Dog mix with an estimated birthday of May 6, 2022. She's a sweet girl with the softest fur and a heart full of love to give. Delta Dawn's journey to us was not an easy one. She arrived pregnant and was on the euthanasia list at the county shelter. Thankfully, we were able to step in and give her a safe place to stay. She went to a foster home where she welcomed her puppies. Sadly, all 11 of her puppies were lost to puppy fading syndrome, a heartbreaking experience for everyone. Despite her past, Delta Dawn is a resilient and loving companion. She adores cuddles and doesn't mind a trip to Tractor Supply, even for a bath! She loves to explore the toy and treat aisles, taking in all the wonderful smells.

Delta Dawn is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Training & Support
We are currently working on leash training with Delta Dawn. She's full of life and eager to explore, sometimes a bit too quickly for her foster mom! However, she is very trainable and loves to please her humans. She's recently learned to play with balls and is working on bringing them back. She is kennel and potty trained.

- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
Transporation
Delta Dawn is located in Chambersburg, PA. She is dog-friendly and kid-friendly.
