Spot

Meet Spot, an 8-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who is as sweet as he is energetic! This handsome boy is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to bring tons of joy into his new home. Spot is outgoing, curious, and always up for an adventure, whether it's a playful romp in the park or a cozy cuddle session on the couch.

Ideal Home

Spot would thrive in an active home with plenty of opportunities for walks, hikes, and mental enrichment. A backyard would be a big plus for him to run and play. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, especially those his size or larger (40-90 lbs), and would love a canine sibling to match his energy. He also lives peacefully with cats and enjoys playing with them, so a dog-savvy feline friend would be a great addition.

Ongoing Health

Spot is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He is a very good boy at home, fully housebroken, and crate trained. He can be left free-roaming without issue and shows no destructive habits.

Training & Support

While Spot is a smart and eager learner, he can get excited and pull on the leash when he sees other dogs. He's been working on leash manners with a gentle leader and is making progress, but he will benefit from continued training and slow introductions to new people, as he can be a bit jumpy out of excitement. He's also been noted to be a bit of a toy hog, so separate feeding is recommended, though no resource guarding has been observed.

Transporation

Spot is currently located with his foster family. Transports run every few weeks, and approved adopters will be placed on the next available transport. If you have specific time constraints for when you can accept a dog, please apply closer to that time.
