Meet Sleepy, a bright and curious 5-month-old Blue Heeler puppy who weighs about 16 pounds. He and his family were rescued after his mother gave birth in a safe location, and now he's ready for his forever home! Sleepy is a smart pup who likes to observe his surroundings before diving into the fun. He's playful, energetic, and loves to explore, chew on toys, and play games. As a member of an active working breed, Sleepy will thrive with a family that can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation through training and interactive activities. He gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around children, men, and women. With continued positive guidance and socialization, Sleepy has the potential to be an incredible lifelong companion.
Ideal Home
Sleepy would do best in a home that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. Adopters should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, including their need for protection and education, and possess experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and high tolerance for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Sleepy has completed his spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. He has also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate. A vaccination booklet is available.
Training & Support
Sleepy is not yet house-trained. The rescue team acknowledges that house-training each pet is an impossible task given the number of animals they care for, but they are dedicated to rehabilitating their health, providing necessary veterinary care, and ensuring their emotional well-being.

Transportation
Sleepy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is ready to travel to the East Coast and PNW if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
