Choppa

My name is Choppa, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. When my person passed away, I ended up with a family member who worked very long hours — and well, you know us Cockers need our humans, so it was a sad time for me. They loved me enough to ask for help, and here I am, ready for my real fresh start. I’m 11 years old and 28 lbs — a calm and dignified gentleman. I’m not a "Velcro Cocker" and won’t follow you from room to room, but I enjoy human and canine company. I'm sweet-natured and polite, a little reserved at first, and completely comfortable being on my own. No anxiety here! Just a low-key guy with old-soul charm who thrives when life is calm and predictable.

Ideal Home

Choppa thrives in a calm and predictable environment. He does well with calm dogs and happily co-exists with cats, whom he doesn't pay much mind. Older, dog-savvy children are also fine, though he will quietly excuse himself from anything loud or chaotic. He prefers not to be crated.

Ongoing Health

Choppa is in excellent health! He recently had his cherry eyes fixed and looks like a million bucks! He will likely need daily eye drops for the rest of his life, but he takes them like a total pro.

Training & Support

Choppa is fully housebroken and a dream on leash. He loves his walks and is great in the car, enjoying naps or watching the world go by. He takes treats gently. His one quirky passion is cardboard boxes and paper – save those Amazon boxes for him!
