Cruz

Get ready to fall hard-just one look into his big brown eyes and Cruz will make you his. He is a classically beautiful german shepherd, just shy of 2 years old. Cruz had FHO surgery so he is still on light duty walks but once he is 100% he will love to run and chase sticks. He is 100% house trained and kennel trained although he prefers to be out of the crate and has been trustworthy in the house. He would prefer a family who is around most of the time or can take him along and he is excellent riding in the car. He does not like to be left alone in the yard. When he wants your attention Cruz will sometimes take your arm in his mouth-he's not biting and I just tell him no and he stops but because of this trait a home without very young children might be preferable. Cruz enjoys playing with other dogs and seems interested but not reactive to other dogs on leads outside the house. He does fine with the house cat but does pay her a little more attention than she enjoys. Cruz loves chews, walks, and stuffies and most of all to be close to his person. He is a medium-size shepherd and has a thick, plush coat. He gets treats alongside the other dogs and does not exhibit any food guarding. Not currently enforcing "sit" for treats because of his hip and unknown if he has had any training. He has no known food allergies; currently eats either beef or fish kibble. Cruz is being fostered in Fountain, CO-just south of Colorado Springs.
