Meet Blu!
Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix whose boundless energy is perfectly matched by her big heart and beautiful brown brindle coat with white accents. She followed a kind soul home from a grocery store and never looked back. Since then, she’s been spayed, vaccinated, and doted on with loving care. Living alongside two senior pups and a couple of confident cats, Blu has shown gentle patience and a genuine eagerness to belong. But it’s clear she’s ready for more, a space to stretch her legs, a routine to call her own, and a family ready to match her curiosity with companionship.
At 65 pounds, Blu is a large pup with a personality even bigger! She’s affectionate, incredibly smart, and motivated to please. Her favorite pastimes include fetch with her beloved soft frisbee, epic tug-o-war matches, chewing on yak cheese, and zooming around the yard like a joyful whirlwind! She also enjoys enrichment through supervised shredding of soft toys and has discovered the fun of tugging on cardboard strips, which has been a creative way to channel her natural need to rip and chew. She hasn’t chewed on anything off-limits in months. Blu knows an impressive list of commands including sit, wait, down, up, leave it, come, and more! She responds well to structure and loves training, especially when it comes with treats and praise.
Ideal Home
Blu is searching for a new loving home where she can thrive. Somewhere with room to romp, people to love, and someone who finds her endearing mix of sweetness and spunk just as delightful as we do! A fenced yard is a big plus, as is a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and has time to include her in their daily routine.

Blu is spayed and vaccinated.
Training & Support
Blu is still working through her sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, though she’s made steady progress with positive reinforcement. She can also be destructive when under-stimulated, which makes regular mental and physical enrichment essential. She is still a young dog, she's energetic and can get excitable, which usually results in jumping up on people and cobbing, though her caregivers have done a lot of work to help her manage these behaviors. She does best with three walks a day, plenty of playtime, and enrichment activities to keep her mind engaged. She’s crate-trained and house-trained.
