Monkey is a goofy, 1-year-old, 60lb Bully breed blend with a heart full of love and a personality as big as his bark! He's a real character, a certified clown dog who loves to make people laugh. Monkey is known for his happy, bouncy demeanor and his eagerness to be involved in everything. He's a social butterfly who adores people and wants to be your adventure buddy, couch potato, and sidekick. He is also a big fan of water and toys, and his vocalizations are often compared to Chewbacca's! Monkey is dog-friendly and enjoys off-leash playgroups with confident, playful dogs, though he does seem to prefer the ladies. He knows basic commands and is crate trained. Shelter staff believe that with a decompression period, he could do well in a home with another dog.

Ideal Home

Monkey would thrive in a fun-loving, active home that's ready for a little happy chaos, lots of cuddles, and nonstop laughs. He'd do well with respectful children of all ages, but be aware that he may accidentally knock over a little one while playing. He absolutely cannot live with cats, and his compatibility with other small animals is unknown.

Ongoing Health

All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped.

Training & Support

Monkey can be jumpy and pushy for attention, but he responds beautifully to structure and direction. He just needs a loving home environment to show his true, ridiculous self. He takes corrections well from both people and dogs.
