Cavalier - Stormy

Stormy is an 8-year-old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix who is looking for a quiet home where he can feel safe and loved. When Stormy first arrived, he was very skittish and would back away when approached, but he has made great progress and now follows his people around. He doesn't jump on the couch, but he will happily lay with you if you pick him up and enjoys sleeping with his foster family. He does well when left out of his kennel unsupervised, but he still enjoys having his kennel as a safe space. Stormy loves treats and has enjoyed playing with other foster dogs in the home.

Ideal Home

Stormy would do best in a home without a lot of activity, and he doesn't seem to enjoy an active house with young children. He will cuddle with other dogs but prefers his own space.

Ongoing Health

Stormy has a heart murmur that has become stronger and his heart has enlarged. He is now on medication for this condition. He will need to have his heart checked every 6 months. Other than his heart condition, he is a very healthy pup.

Training & Support

Stormy is kennel trained and house-trained. He has learned to not back away when approached and is happy to follow his person.
