Dewey

Dewey is a smart, affectionate, and loyal 2-year-old Carolina Dog mix who is the perfect companion for both outdoor adventures and cozy nights in. Weighing in at 45-50 pounds, Dewey excels when his mind is engaged, enjoying games like hide-and-seek and puzzle toys. He loves to explore and sniff, especially in snowy conditions, and has a playful, goofy side. While he was once unsure about toys, he now proudly carries his squeaky ball and enjoys a good game of tug.

Ideal Home

Dewey would thrive in a calm, structured environment with an experienced adopter. A home without young children is recommended. A yard for sniffing and enrichment would be a big plus.

Ongoing Health

Dewey is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped.

Training & Support

Dewey experiences leash reactivity toward passing dogs, people, and bicycles. He is improving with continued positive reinforcement training and mindful threshold management. He is crate trained, waits patiently at the door before walks, and enjoys relaxing on his place mat. He follows a consistent daily routine beautifully.
