Meet Izzy! This sweet 5-year-old girl, weighing around 75 pounds, is looking for a patient and loving home to call her own. Izzy arrived at our shelter after being transferred from local county animal control and has been patiently waiting for her fresh start.

Izzy has been a little unsure since arriving here, and she's still adjusting to all the new sights, sounds, and people. Treats are a wonderful way to her heart and a great tool for helping her build trust and confidence! Izzy will thrive with adopters who understand that she may need plenty of time to settle into her new home and are willing to let her adjust at her own pace. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Izzy has the potential to blossom into a devoted companion.

Ideal Home

We ask that all family members meet Izzy prior to adoption. We recommend a home with older children who can respect her need for space while she settles in. When meeting other dogs here at the shelter, Izzy prefers slow, thoughtful introductions. With proper introductions, she may do well in a home with canine companions.

Ongoing Health

Izzy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.

Training & Support

Izzy is still adjusting and may need time and patience to build confidence. Treats are a great way to help her feel comfortable and build trust.
