Howie

MEET HOWIE! This happy, gentle Lab-Ridgeback-Pit mix is a loverboy! Howie is 6 years young and has a heart full of love to give. He was rescued from a California shelter in very rough shape - he had major skin issues/hair loss and had clearly been neglected. Now, he looks so much better and continues to be on good salmon food and supplements. He's appreciative of love and attention and is a very affectionate boy. Howie is a big snuggler and will want to share your bed! He loves going for walks and other outings. He's been waiting a long time for his own home and we're hoping he can find a foster or forever home soon. He weighs about 55-60 lbs.

Ideal Home

Howie would probably thrive as the only dog in the home, or with a submissive female dog.

Ongoing Health

Howie had major skin issues and hair loss due to neglect, but has significantly improved. He is currently on salmon food and supplements to support his skin health.

Training & Support

Howie loves to snuggle and will want to share your bed! He also enjoys walks and other outings. He is good with some dogs but not others.
