Meet Markiss Dogue de Bordeaux. Markiss Dogue de Bordeaux is a boutique, home-based breeding program led by Breinn Freeman and Paul Markiss in Colstrip, Montana. Breinn began breeding in the late 1990s and has always appreciated dogs with loving temperaments, beautiful structure, and strong family bonds. Breinn and Paul were drawn to the Dogue de Bordeaux for its loyalty, affection, impressive presence, and deep devotion to its people. Their dogs live in Breinn and Paul’s home and are raised as part of their family. Markiss Dogue de Bordeaux is focused on preserving the qualities they love most in the breed: strong bone and body structure, beautiful red and mahogany coloring, massive heads, friendly temperaments, and the loyal, loving nature that makes the Dogue de Bordeaux such a special companion. Puppies are raised with daily handling and early exposure to household sounds, children, car rides, scent introduction, and age-appropriate socialization. Potty-training foundations are started before puppies leave for their new homes. Each puppy goes home with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, a veterinary health check with records, an AKC registration application, a written contract, and a go-home bag with food, treats, and toys. Breinn and Paul care deeply about where each puppy is placed. Potential homes are screened through multiple conversations to help ensure every puppy is matched with a family prepared for the size, training, and lifelong commitment of a Dogue de Bordeaux.
