Meet Yeager! He's a tall, athletic, and incredibly handsome Doberman with an abundance of energy and a personality as unique as his name. Yeager is a complex character, but at heart, he's a happy-go-lucky pup who's always ready for adventure. He's best described as a full-time project dog, but one that promises an incredibly rewarding experience for the right owner. Yeager is great with female dogs and smaller to medium-sized male dogs, and he has also done well with cats and older children. He's an extremely happy and confident dog who is always eager to explore and play!
Ideal Home
Yeager needs an experienced, active, and consistent human or humans who are prepared for the challenge of a high-drive dog. Prior Doberman or working breed experience is strongly preferred. He thrives with structure and will do best in a home that understands how to set and maintain boundaries.
Ongoing Health
Yeager is a deep-chested breed, and awareness regarding this is required.
Training & Support
Yeager is potty trained but will have accidents indoors and will mark. He doesn't always respond to human correction and learns patterns quickly, sometimes using them to his advantage. He can outmaneuver routines, especially when food is involved, and rarely settles, particularly around other animals. While he takes correction from other dogs, it's often short-lived. He also has a tendency to destroy beds, feeders, and other items. Yeager is not untrainable but requires an experienced owner committed to ongoing, structured training.
