Meet Lessie! This sweet girl is a bit shy and nervous at first, but she's incredibly gentle and loves the company of other dogs. She was found tied to the fence at our shelter in Mexico, and despite this difficult start, she's showing so much potential. Lessie is gaining confidence and is already wonderful on the leash, thanks to the help of our dog trainer. The hustle and bustle of the shelter can be overwhelming for her, so she's dreaming of a more peaceful environment.
Ideal Home
Lessie would thrive in a quiet, calm, and predictable home. She'd prefer a home without young children, where teens or adults can give her the patient attention she needs. A big yard, a ranch, or an active lifestyle with plenty of hiking would be perfect for her. While not required, a home with another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus for Lessie. She is already potty trained and leash trained.
Ongoing Health
Lessie is a healthy girl.
Training & Support

Transporation
Lessie is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new pup at the airport to welcome them home. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and can be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border. Volunteers have successfully helped bring dogs to adopters at the border during these times.
