Bear is eager to learn and is very responsive, especially since he's treat motivated, making training a joy! He truly shines when interacting with people, seeking connection in a warm and easy way. Bear enjoys being part of whatever you're doing, whether it's soaking up attention or simply lounging nearby. He's already house and crate trained, which is a great head start!
Ideal Home
Bear is still a young dog with plenty of energy and excitement, so he'll need a home that can provide consistent guidance and structure. He needs continued leash training as he can get overexcited when he sees other dogs. Bear would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playfulness. He showed curiosity and restraint with a cat, suggesting he could live peacefully with a dog-savvy, confident feline friend with slow introductions.

Bear is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up locations in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
