Anna in SC

Anna is a 5-year-old female cream-colored long-haired Dachshund mix. She came to us from a breeder who wanted her to have a good life and become the pet she was meant to be. Anna can be timid at first, but with patience and time, she will learn to trust and understand that she is safe and loved. She has beautiful, silky fur the color of honey. Although the breeder had to cut out some mats on her hindquarters, her fur will grow back. Once she gets comfortable, she'll be wagging her tail and happy to see you! Anna is looking for a special person to give her the home she so richly deserves.

Ideal Home

Anna needs a home with a fenced yard, as she is not leash-trained. She would do best in a home with someone who has patience or experience with breeder dogs. She also needs another small, well-socialized adult dog to be her companion and help her learn. Anna is not suited for apartments, high-rises, condos, or duplexes. She is also not recommended for homes with children under 11 years old.

Ongoing Health

Anna is up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She was spayed on 07/02/26.

Training & Support

Anna will need some work on housetraining. She is crate-trained. She is not leash-trained and will need a securely fenced yard. It will take patience and understanding to gain Anna's trust, but she will be worth the effort.
