Jericho

Hi, I’m Jericho! I’m a 3-year-old, 54-pound tan pit bull who’s gentle in spirit and surprisingly quiet – I don’t bark at all! I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and even crate trained. I’m a smart boy who loves to learn and thrive on routine and positive reinforcement. My foster family says I’m a power chewer, so I’ll need plenty of sturdy toys to keep me happy and occupied, especially Nylabones!

Ideal Home

I’m great with children aged 5 and up, but I can get scared around smaller children and toddlers, so I’d do best in a home without them. I’m also good with other dogs, but I’m a little too curious for cats, so a feline-free home is the way to go for me. I’m not the best fit for a first-time dog owner; I need an experienced handler who is confident, consistent, and committed to continuing my training.

I am neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I’ve completed a four-week training program and my foster has continued to work with me. I’m learning quickly, but I’m still a bit pushy, mouthy, and I jump up when excited. I also need to learn door manners as I tend to push my way through when I’m eager. With structure and consistency, I respond beautifully. I love exercise, puzzle toys, and anything that stimulates my brain and body!

I am currently in Waterloo, SC. I can be transported out of state for the right home, though there is a transport fee.
