Gertie

Gertie is an estimated 8-year-old sweetheart who is truly something special. She was found as a stray, but it's clear she once had a loving home. She has seamlessly settled into her foster home, showing kindness to everyone she meets and peacefully coexisting with two smaller dogs. Gertie is the type of dog who makes herself at home in your heart and your bed instantly. Despite a difficult past, she remains gentle, kind, and trusting.

Ongoing Health

Gertie has undergone spay surgery and multiple mass removals. She also had extensive dental work to address severely rotted teeth. Further medical attention was needed due to numerous tumors and "boxer bumps." Cytology was performed to rule out more serious conditions.

Training & Support

Gertie knows basic commands and settles into a home environment very quickly. She has a history of being overbred and neglected, but she remains gentle and trusting.
