Duque is a handsome 4-year-old English Shepherd mix with a striking black and white coat and a loving personality. Weighing around 42 lbs, this boy is as charming as he is cuddly. Duque is a well-balanced dog who adapts quickly to new people and places, making him a wonderful companion. He thrives on affection and enjoys spending quality time with his family. Ideal Home
Duque would do best in a home with a fenced backyard. He's looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue a dog. Families should have an open mind about the behaviors of rescued animals and be prepared for their need for protection and education. Prior experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience are essential for this intelligent boy.
Ongoing Health
Duque has received comprehensive veterinary care, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. He has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX diseases. He receives monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.
Training & Support
Duque is potty trained and leash trained. However, please note that due to his rescue background, he may require an adjustment period. Patience and understanding are crucial as he learns to trust and adapt to his new environment. Transporation
Duque is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a minimum of 15-20 adoptions per trip. A partnered transport company collects adopted pets from Mexico and escorts them across the border into Texas for US adoptions. For Canadian adoptions, pets are delivered to the nearest US-Canada border. Real-time updates are provided through a private Facebook Messenger group. The transport fee is $400 USD.
