Hazel is a 10-month-old brown-eyed beauty who has been patiently waiting for her forever home. She arrived at the sanctuary in November 2025 with her siblings, who were adopted quickly, but Hazel remained, often going unnoticed. She is incredibly sweet and gentle, loving to be by her human's side and act as a devoted shadow. Hazel adores other dogs, regardless of their size, and gets along wonderfully with them. She's also been introduced to cats and shows no interest in them. Hazel is house and crate trained and would be a fantastic companion for children, as she is very kid-friendly. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is water – she's an adventurous spirit who would love to join you on hikes, trips to the beach, or any activity involving water. Even a small bucket is enough to bring her immense joy! This delightful girl weighs only 30 lbs and is considered full-grown. She is ready to bring her sweetness and love into a home.
Ideal Home
Hazel would thrive in a home that embraces her love for adventure and water. She's a shadow dog who loves to be close to her people and would be a wonderful addition to a family with children.
Ongoing Health
Hazel is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and dewormer. She will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Hazel is already house and crate trained, making her a well-adjusted companion. Her foster parent highlights her sweetness as a key trait.

Transporation
Hazel is currently located in Texas. We do not adopt animals within Texas due to the high euthanasia rates. We exclusively adopt to the Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee of $495 includes transport from Texas to the locations listed below. Transport runs every 2-3 weeks and may vary based on adopter locations:
