Solstice

Solstice is a sweet, shy young dog who had a rough start in life. She arrived in our care with eight puppies, and bravely navigated motherhood while also dealing with heartworm. Now that her puppies have found their forever homes, it's Solstice's turn! She's quiet and loving, a little unsure with new people, but eager to make friends with humans and most dogs. She gets nervous around cats, so a feline-free home would be best. With a gentle approach and patience, Solstice will blossom into the wonderful companion we know she is. She'd do well in a calm environment with a predictable routine, but enjoys a good romp once she's comfortable. She even tolerates car rides, though she's a bit nervous about them!

Ideal Home

A gentle hand and patience will help Solstice bloom. A quieter home with a steady schedule would be ideal, though she enjoys playful moments once comfortable. A home without cats is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Solstice is recovering from heartworm.
