Freckles is a 3-year-old, 14-pound bundle of sweetness who looks like she stepped straight out of a storybook. While we can't say for sure what breeds make up this adorable girl, we'd guess there's a little Papillon, maybe some Chihuahua, and a sprinkle of magic mixed in there somewhere. With her soft tan-and-white coat, warm amber eyes, and those absolutely stunning fluffy ears that seem to have a personality all their own, Freckles is impossible to overlook. And if you look closely, you'll see the adorable little freckles scattered across her legs that gave her the perfect name. Every inch of her is cute, from her wispy tail to her expressive face that always seems to be asking, "Can we cuddle now?" Freckles is a gentle soul who appreciates the quieter things in life. She's not looking for nonstop adventures or chaos; she'd much rather spend her day curled up beside her favorite person, lounging on the couch, or enjoying a peaceful afternoon nap. She's affectionate without being demanding and has a calm, loving nature that makes her incredibly easy to be around. In her foster home, Freckles lives successfully with both dogs and cats and enjoys their company. She has a sweet, respectful demeanor and tends to approach life with kindness and patience. She's the kind of dog who brings a sense of calm wherever she goes. All vetting is up to date, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchip.

Training & Support

Freckles has been assessed by trainers and behavior has been modified as needed. She has individualized behavior plans to help prepare her for her future family, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

• The adoption fee is $1600.
• Adopters receive extensive behavioral testing information, discounts on DNA tests, 30 days of pet insurance, a free dog training session, and discounts on future training.

Transportation

Freckles is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
