About Ranch Dip

Ranch Dip has settled into foster life beautifully and is starting to let her personality shine. She may be a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl who loves being close to her people. One of Ranch Dip's favorite things is her daily walks. She loves taking her time sniffing everything around her and carrying sticks she finds along the way. At home, you'll often find her stretched out in the sunshine on the deck or happily chewing on a rope toy in the living room. She's also discovered that couches and soft dog beds are some of life's greatest inventions! Ranch Dip enjoys having a canine companion and has done well with our resident Golden Retriever, who has helped show her that life as a family dog is pretty wonderful. She also lives with a cat. She's respectful of her (and maybe even a little intimidated!), although she does think the litter box is an interesting snack bar, so that's something her future family will want to manage. She's learning "sit," continues to improve with her house manners every day, and is gaining confidence with new experiences. Large trucks and passing trains can still be a little scary, but she recovers quickly and keeps moving. She is mostly potty trained but requires a tight schedule to keep accidents from occuring in the house. One of our favorite things about Ranch Dip is watching her confidence grow. During the day she may choose a cozy spot under the bed or couch for a nap, but every morning she comes looking for cuddles and loves climbing into bed for snuggle time. Watching her realize that people can be kind has been incredibly rewarding. Ranch Dip is looking for a patient family who will let her continue to blossom at her own pace. In return, they'll get a loyal, affectionate companion who loves sunshine, walks, toys, sticks, cozy couches, and morning cuddles.
