Micaela

Micaela is a beautiful husky mix, about 2 years old, who has overcome immense challenges. She arrived at the shelter in pain from a fractured jaw, gum issues, and dead teeth, all stemming from untreated injuries. Despite her difficult past, including being at a high-kill shelter, Micaela is incredibly resilient and loving. She's a gentle soul who leans into affection and watches her caregivers with grateful eyes, slowly learning that she is finally safe. She is also heartworm positive and is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. The good news is that with the dental care she has received and her ongoing heartworm treatment, Micaela will live a completely normal and pain-free life. Her story is one of strength, survival, and the hope for a loving future.

Micaela is heartworm positive and has begun slow-kill treatment. She has also undergone a full dental cleaning and removal of damaged teeth due to old jaw fractures.
