Brandy

Meet Brandy! This sweet girl is looking for her forever family. Brandy was surrendered due to some issues with another dog in her previous home, but since arriving at TIRR Rescue, she has shown a lot of promise and has interacted well with other dogs. She seems to find comfort and tranquility when a strong, confident dog is around, and she's even formed a strong bond with a younger, larger dog who seems to provide her with a sense of security. Brandy can be a little nervous and really thrives when her human is close by, making her a devoted companion who is eager to be a part of your family.

Ideal Home

Brandy is looking for a home where she can feel secure and loved. She would likely do well in a home with another well-adjusted dog who can offer gentle companionship, but she may not do well with dominant or intimidating dogs.

Ongoing Health

Brandy recently underwent surgery to remove a mast cell tumor from her hip. We're happy to report that the initial pathology showed the tumor to be very low-grade and not spread, and we're optimistic she'll continue to live a happy, active life. She is currently in a recovery period for this surgery, which will last approximately 2-4 more weeks. Wound care has been a bit challenging, requiring additional attention to ensure proper healing.

Training & Support

Brandy thrives on human connection and will benefit from a patient and loving approach. Providing her with a stable routine and gentle guidance will help her continue to build confidence.
