About Annie
Annie is a sweet, spunky Shih Tzu and poodle mix pup with a heart full of love! She's about 3-4 months old and currently weighs 7 lbs, with an expected adult weight of around 20 lbs. Annie is affectionate and adores being doted on. She's naturally curious and confident, always eager to explore new things and meet new people and furry friends. Her social butterfly nature makes her a perfect companion for an active family that loves including their pup in everyday adventures. Whether she's playing with her foster siblings, cuddling with her foster mom, or chasing her favorite toys, Annie is sure to have a good time. She's a wonderful mix of playful energy and a laid-back cuddle bug, happy to entertain herself with her toys or simply nap nearby while her humans work. Annie's adaptable personality means she'd fit beautifully into many different homes.
Ideal Home
Annie would thrive in an active home that enjoys walks, exploring, and spending time outdoors. She'd also be equally happy with a family that prefers cozy evenings at home filled with snuggles. A fenced yard would be ideal for her to play and explore. She'd love a home with another playful dog, but would also be content as the "only child" receiving all the love. Public dog parks are not recommended for Annie.
Ongoing Health
Annie is starting to teeth, so her new family will need to be mindful of what she chews on.
Training & Support
Annie is kennel and potty trained and has started leash training. She alerts her foster family when she needs to go outside by circling at the back door, and a doggy doorbell is recommended. She will need a consistent schedule initially and regular potty breaks, as she cannot be left alone for more than 4-5 hours. She would do best with a family that is home more often than not, or with access to a dog walker or doggy daycare if her humans work outside the home. She would likely be too much for a senior dog not accustomed to puppy energy. While she's great with kids, a small child could potentially drop her if they try to carry her due to her wiggly excitement.
