Meet Mya! It's fitting that this sweet girl originally came into the shelter on Valentine's Day because she is the biggest lovebug! While at the shelter, she was a volunteer favorite! Mya is a gorgeous girl with the softest coat. She is potty trained and has had no accidents in her foster home. Mya is dog-friendly and loves to play. She would do best in a home with a neutral, confident dog, as her play can be rough, but she reads cues from other dogs. She is very friendly in general and enjoys meeting people. Mya has done well with children who approach her for pets in public.
This smart girl knows sit, paw, and lay down. She knows her name and listens well. Mya takes treats very gently and enjoys them, making her easy to train. She enjoys a game of fetch as much as cuddling on the couch. She would love a home where she can play with her person or dog sibling and go on daily walks, but she doesn't require a lot of exercise. Mya willingly goes into her crate, but sometimes will whine or bark for about 5-10 minutes before she settles. She sleeps in her crate all night and when her foster family is not home. She has not been destructive except with her stuffed animal toys, and she's polite and gentle about it. Mya loves to go for car rides, jumping right in and settling immediately. She does great on outings to a brewery or brunch, is relaxed, and enjoys hanging out with her person. Mya loves to go on walks and sniff around. She's easy on leash and only pulls toward other dogs. She does seem to have a prey drive and will fixate on a squirrel or outdoor cat.
