She's an equal parts cuddly sweetheart and playful goofball, bringing laughter, affection, and nonstop cuteness wherever she goes. Lentil Lou is believed to be a German Shepherd mix, approximately 1 year old and weighing 48 lbs. She is a rescue, so breed and age are a best guess. Lentil is a social butterfly who adores every person she meets and has been gentle around young children.

Lentil Lou would thrive in a home with a semi-active family that enjoys neighborhood walks and is looking for a super affectionate girl. She would be happiest in a home with kids 12 and older. She would also love a backyard where she can stretch her legs, soak up the sunshine, and happily meander alongside you.

Lentil is a smart gal and very treat motivated, eager to please. She already knows how to sit and is ready to learn more. She walks fairly nicely on a leash but may pull occasionally out of excitement; her focus is easily regained with gentle reminders. She is comfortable tandem walking with other dogs. She is crate trained and potty trained. Training with Lentil will be a fun and rewarding bonding experience.

Lentil Lou is located in the Houston area, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
