Meet Ruger! This handsome ~11-month-old Belgian Malinois is ready to find his forever home. Ruger has a great temperament, good manners, and a more approachable medium-drive personality than you might expect from his breed. He's a smart and social boy who loves learning, especially with fun and structured guidance! He enjoys spending time with his people and participating in training sessions, balanced with plenty of playtime.

Ideal Home

Ruger would thrive in an active household with an adopter who is looking for a loyal best friend. He's looking for someone willing to continue his training and engagement as he matures into adulthood. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Ongoing Health

Ruger has completed training to address resource guarding and comes with FREE lifetime access to group classes and private lessons from JPK9. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Ruger is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. He is a fast learner and responds well to structure and consistency. While he is intelligent and active, he appears to be more of a companion-type dog than a high-drive working dog. He is still young and learning how to play with people and toys.
