Meet Smokey! This handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix is a true sweetheart looking for his forever family. Smokey came to us as a stray and has since proven himself to be a smart, kind-hearted, and affectionate companion. He enjoys a good cuddle on the couch, especially while watching Gilmore Girls, but also loves a lively game of chase with his doggy friends. He's a submissive player and has a low to moderate energy level, making him a great fit for a relaxed household. Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and he's ready to bring his gentle nature and sweet personality to your home.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home with a yard where he can roam freely and a family that can offer him plenty of love and attention. He'd be happiest with someone who works from home or is away for only a few hours a day, as he does experience some separation anxiety. A house, rather than an apartment, would be ideal. He would also love a canine companion to play with, as he genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs. Smokey would do best in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would prefer a home without cats.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and prefers not to be crated for extended periods, though he will use it for resting. He can be a little nervous around strangers and may bark out of excitement, but he is easily redirected. While he might pull slightly at the beginning of a walk when excited, he quickly settles down and walks calmly. His mild separation anxiety means he may cry for a bit when left alone, but he doesn't engage in destructive behavior and eventually settles. Patience and understanding will help him adjust to his new environment.
