Sansa is a delightful Chihuahua–Cocker Spaniel mix who was born on April 18, 2025, making her about 10 months old and a petite 10 lbs. She’s a loving, happy, and playful girl who was surrendered due to no fault of her own and is now eagerly awaiting her forever family. Despite her past, Sansa remains incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves to play and is ready to bring joy into her new home.
Ideal Home
Sansa would thrive in a home that offers continued love and consistency to help build her confidence. A securely fenced backyard is a must. She’s looking for an active family who enjoys outdoor activities and has a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs and behaviors of rescued animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. A high tolerance for patience with rescued puppies is essential.
Ongoing Health
Sansa has completed a comprehensive health protocol including spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, a 4DX test, negative heartworm test, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventatives. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet. It's important to note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and patience due to past experiences.
Training & Support
Sansa is crate trained and does her business in the yard. However, she is not house-trained, as the rescue is unable to provide this for all foster animals. She may bark at strangers initially but warms up with reassurance. Consistency, patience, and understanding will be key to helping her feel safe and build trust.
