Pearlie is a 5-year-old, 50lb spayed female pittie mix with a beautiful snowy coat and soulful eyes. She's a sweet girl who was once too scared to leave her kennel, but with time and patience, she's blossomed into a confident and affectionate companion. Pearlie loves to play with her stuffies and is a certified serial licker, always ready to share her love. She bonds deeply with her people and thrives on connection, making her an incredibly loyal and loving friend.
Ideal Home
Pearlie would thrive in a calm, patient, and understanding home where she can continue to decompress and feel secure. She needs a home that moves at her pace and celebrates every small win. She adores children and has lived with kids from 3 to 18 years old, but supervision is recommended with smaller kiddos due to her occasional jumpiness when excited. While she coexists well with dogs in the 50-80 lb range, she prefers to do her own thing and isn't much of a player. Slow, structured meet-and-greets are important for her, and she might need a calm, respectful canine companion if one is present.

Training & Support
Pearlie is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping quietly through the night. She can be a bit socially unsure around other dogs, sometimes ignoring or barking, especially during introductions. On leash, she may react similarly, but she is improving daily. She can be fearful when meeting strangers, sometimes barking or avoiding them, which stems from her past experiences. She also shows nervousness in the car and is a bit scared of the dark outside. With consistency, patience, and a gentle approach, she will continue to build trust and gain confidence.

Transporation
Pearlie is currently located in Austin, Texas. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters and is included in the adoption donation. Transport runs every few weeks.
