Behrooz

Behrooz is a handsome 2-year-old, 50lb Husky and Labrador Retriever mix who is neutered. He was rescued from Kuwait as a stray and is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can build trust. Behrooz can be initially shy around men but warms up with time and positive experiences. He previously worked with a trainer on food aggression and learned quickly; while he currently shows no signs of it, a confident owner who can continue positive reinforcement is recommended. He loves to cuddle and enjoys playing with other dogs, even sharing toys, though he is fed separately. Behrooz is good with children, provided they are old enough not to take things from him, especially food. He's a smart boy who learns quickly and thrives on activity, enjoying walks and car rides.

Ideal Home

Behrooz needs a patient and active owner who can help him build trust and continue his training. He does well with children as long as they are respectful of his food. He needs a confident owner who can provide consistent training and a secure environment. Due to his ability to jump 4-foot fences, a securely fenced yard is essential. He also has had issues with crates and does better in a larger fenced kennel or in a single room.

Behrooz is neutered and vaccinated. His crate issues are thought to be related to his flight from Kuwait.

Training & Support

Behrooz is working on building trust, especially with men. He previously had food aggression, which has been managed with training, but continued positive reinforcement is advised. He is smart and learns quickly. He needs an owner who can provide continued positive training and socialization.
