Huck

Huck is a handsome young fellow, about 1-2 years old and weighing in at around 50lbs. He's a fantastic snuggler with a quick mind and has already mastered crate training and walking politely on a leash. While he enjoys playtime, Huck isn't particularly interested in toys, but he makes up for it with his low-shedding coat! He was found wandering the streets of Lubbock, TX, and it's clear he's experienced some difficult times. Despite a past trauma that makes him wary of men, he's never aggressive, simply preferring to keep his distance. His foster believes with patience, he could warm up to a male companion. With women and children, however, he's a confident and affectionate snuggle bug!

Ideal Home

Huck absolutely adores children and is wonderfully gentle, even with babies. He also gets along famously with other dogs of all sizes. He is currently thriving in a foster home with kids and canine companions. However, Huck does need a cat-free environment.

Ongoing Health

Huck is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Huck is crate trained and walks well on a leash. He is still learning to overcome his past trauma related to men and requires a patient owner who can help him build trust.
