Delta is a stunning 5-year-old Isabella and tan Dachshund weighing just 6.6 pounds. Born on April 4, 2021, this tiny girl has a larger-than-life personality and plenty of love to give to the right person. Delta thrives on being with her people. She loves attention, enjoys playtime, and wants to be involved in whatever her family is doing. Affectionate, loyal, and full of character, she is the definition of a devoted companion.
Ideal Home
Delta is looking for an adult-only home. She can be protective of her people, is possessive of toys, and experiences some separation anxiety. She is also quite vocal, so apartment living is not ideal unless her adopter works from home or is home most of the day. We believe she would thrive with a retired adopter or someone who works remotely and can provide the companionship she craves. While a yard is not required, Delta certainly enjoys outdoor adventures and play sessions.
Ongoing Health
Delta is spayed, healthy, and up to date on all vaccinations. She has no known medical concerns; however, she does have canine color dilution alopecia, a condition associated with her beautiful coloring that causes hair loss. Because of this, her sun exposure should be limited to help prevent sunburn.
Training & Support
Delta is fully house trained and is reliable with a consistent potty schedule. She also knows how to use pee pads when needed. Like many Dachshunds, Delta has a strong will and a spirited personality. She needs an adopter who appreciates the breed, understands her boundaries, and can provide loving leadership, structure, and consistency.
