Missy

Missy is a sweet 5-year-old girl who came to us from a partner shelter when her medical needs became too much for them to handle. She was diagnosed with Cushing Disease and a thyroid disorder, both of which are now managed with daily medication. Missy has also made incredible progress in our care, going from just over 100 pounds to a healthy weight of around 50 pounds! She absolutely loves her walks and is a perfect lady on the leash. After her morning stroll, she enjoys nothing more than snoozing in a warm sunbeam. Missy is looking for a loving and compassionate person to give her the happy home she deserves.

Ideal Home

Missy would love a fenced yard, and a doggie door would be a bonus! She needs to be the only pet in the home and does not enjoy dog parks.

Ongoing Health

Missy is being treated for Cushing Disease and a thyroid disorder, both of which are managed with daily medication. As part of a medical foster/adoption, BCAR will continue to be financially responsible for her medical care.

Training & Support

Missy has great manners on her leash and is very calm. BCAR can provide extra support to help her transition from shelter life to home life.
